Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent, a time of presumption. As a child, I could hardly bear my actual forward as Christmas approached. Usually, time began when Sears and Roebuck catalog Remarkable Christmas arrived. I would pour over the pages and imagine to be something in what I wanted. A doll with special characteristics, he cried or wet or liquor. Remember Betsy Wetsy? Or Lincoln Logs or Ray Guns, or Tonka trucks or princess dresses?

There were doll houses nifty with a precision of tiny plastic modern furniture made in the 1950s, Dale Evans' Outfits Cowgirl with gun and holster, and overwrought art easels with colored chalk and other supplies Art. Yummy! My parents did their best. I was lucky enough to receive what they could afford and what I wanted, but the days after Christmas were often let down. Suspicion had ended with the opening of the gift. Now I had what I thought I wanted.

What to write in a card to my grandparents?

Both my grandparents have been very ill recently and I indigence to send a card to say hello, but do not know exactly what to say. I do not mean "cure" because they know they will not, and I do not want it to sound like a map of communion. Can anyone help me get started? I'm usually pretty good at this stuff but I am confused and do not want too cheesy canvas.

Because say what you think of them. Then give them news of what you're up to - school, siblings, pets, whatever. Tell them how much you make at school or ballet or football (whatever your interests). Check them a funny story that happened recently - your little brother / sister falling in dog poo, your father scare your mother, but not on purpose. Things that would introduce a smile on their faces. End by saying again that you think of them with great love.
