Place Office staff have been praised after managing to get a strange letter to its rightful place. The card does not speak but the side was written "Wednesday at James Dow of Blan - sticks of firewood." The card was sent to Glasgow and the postal authorities he had sent in Blantyre, Scribble literary "trying Dow, lumberman, Blantyre. He found that it was intended for Mr. James Dow, sawmills Blantyre, who intended to have the bit of the newsletter supervised and recorded as the nucleus of a Museum of Blantyre.

At a meeting of the Institute for Education - Hamilton Subdivision, regret has been registered by Neil McKechnie, Dundyvan, who presides in the deaths of three members - David Dunlop, SIEF, Blantyre, M . Archibald, Mossend, and James C. Carlisle, Airdrie.

A highlight of Christmas in the Advertiser, dated December 22, 1934, told of a time when celebrating the holiday season was actually illegitimate. After the Reformation, an effort was made to sweep all ecclesiastical festivals in the country, because of their link with the Roman Church.In 1583, Kirk Glasgow Meeting took five people to do public penance for the watch. After the Restoration, Christmas has returned to popularity.

Parish Bazaar – Many thanks to all parishioners, set organization, PTA and friends who made Friday evening’s bazaar a marked affair. The brave did not frighten off people’s generosity, and so many people worked bitter, preparing, sustained stalls, selling sweeps tickets, donating prizes. A deliberate consultation of thanks to the adolescent people of our schools and parish for supporting the bazaar so well. The Season of Advent – WWM booklets & calendars to counsel you through the edible; a new Jesse Tree representing Biblical characters (created by many groups within the parish), Sunday Evening Suit at 5pm; Partnership Masses on Wednesdays at 7pm here at St Thomas More; Break for D, Regularly Numbers. Advent is very much a occasion of the Church which the existence misses. Reinforce Christmas this year by marking Advent well. Badge of the Church & Greenery – Greenery needed from this Friday 11th December; Preferably laurel, ivy or non-hard evergreen. Pinch required 10am to 12 high noon this Saturday...
