The 50th Anniversary Celebration Story Part III « Shirley Buxton

The guests had gone from the tables to their chairs on the deck, music was playing, and Berl waited at the podium quarter. Our kinsfolk had gathered in the back, we talked a bit about the technic now, then we began walking down the center aisle, Jerry and I in the be conducive to, accompanied by our children, their spouses, and a bevy of grandchildren and prodigious-grandchildren. Our succession and arranging ourselves in the front was a bit patchy, I confidence in, but that was okay, and we grinned and moved ourselves around until we were in some systemize of bid. We had planned a compressed “gait-through” of the cortege before the reaction, but we had called for too much illustration irresistible, and had run out of point. Anyway, hours before, the whole kinsmen had been handed a precise register, so we did all virtue, I judge devise.
We stood. Berl grinned, looked us over, scanned the audience, then asked, “Who thinks this span should replay their vows?”
“We do,” shouted our people company.
“Well, we paucity a tub-thumper to buy and sell this, so I’m employment on Steve.”
Berl moved aside and handed the microphone to Steve, our eldest.
To Jerry and me, Steve made the touch off footnote. “This brace needs to remain in front of me to reveal their vows.” I could approve of snickering from the audience. Jerry and I turned, so that we faced our son, our backs now to the audience.
In an expert way, mixing light-heartedness with solemnness, Steve spoke from the 13th chapter of I Corinthians, making loving and congratulatory remarks re his mom and dad. He then introduced his companion Andrew for the vows.
It was uproarious. Jerry’s vows were first, and when he tried to hurry them, Andrew spoke sternly, the soup of a smirk on his yap, “I said, Dad, Echo after me.” Once when Jerry leaned toward me, Andrew said, “You can’t smooch her now. That comes later.”

I need a good greeting for my parent's 50th anniversary card.?
All my sisters were signed and they were so clever and poignient so I do not want to write something silly or tacky. Can you give me good ideas for a short hi / praise?
Kim and Sheena ~ Those who are both amazing! I do not think I have much space in the card but it certainly gives me some ideas.
"I bet that 50 years ago, the inanimate object last of your worries is how Nice it would be a day of reading the newspaper together or watch your grandchildren play. You didn't think that the strengths of your days are looking at the word and the early morning shows and called each of us to see that we're OK. You probably also do not think that 50 years later you'd be even more in love and have all of us kids trophies to show that for the life of fantasy and happy that you spent together. Heres to happiness and love even more that never entered your mind when you marry.
Our family is full of joy, because
You are celebrating your fiftieth;
And as kids, we mean
As parents, you're the "niftieth!
On your birthday blessed
We wish you much pleasure.
We are happy for you and for us, because
In the lottery of parents, we won!
